Greater than money call for men

Abdullah Al Baja, the chief judge of the Appeals Court in Cairo, who has said that husbands divorced by their women for “trivial reasons” suffer economic and psychological harms, made the suggestion. "The reason why the separated calling men deserve to be awarded alimony like the divorced women is that they might be divorced for no mistake of their own," Al Baja said. Chain
He additional that the women are given the correct to seek divorce if they state reluctance to continue in wedding or if they dislike their spouse. "Thus men are divorced next to their will despite the far above the ground costs they incur to make a family through matrimony," he added.
In the late 1990s, the assembly approved a bill allowing women to separation their spouses in return for waiving their monetary entitlements.
The bill is base on an Islamic code known as Al khula divorce.
• Administrator information says that around 5,000 Egyptians have been divorced beneath Al khula law over the precedent three years.
• Voicing reservations about granting alimony to the divorced calling men, Mohammad Al Gundry, the chairperson of the Higher Islamic Affairs Council, said that there is no clear text in the Quran or the Sunna supporting such a suggestion.
• "Giving women the right to end a wedding in the Islamic Sharia is aimed to counter-balance the right of call men to divorce their wives at any time," al-Gundry told Gulf News.
• He added that unlike men, women are usually divorced later in life "after shouldering the biggest share of the family burden and raising children".
• Proponents of the proposed alimony for calling men cite official figures, which say that more than 60 per cent of women in Egypt refuse to marry divorced call men.
• According to a relevant study, conducted by the Cairo-based National Centre for Social Studies, divorced calling men are perceived in the female community as being of "a weak character and unfit for re-marriage".
Soa'd Saleh, a famed TV preacher, contends that this suggestion does not violate Islamic teachings. He said it strength punctual women to believe twice earlier than filing for separation.
